How This Started

Twenty years ago, I was on a job site watching a contractor tear into a property like he had somewhere else to be. No planning. No respect for the land. I remember thinking: this is supposed to be built right, and it wasn't. That's when I decided I'd start my own thing. One main goal. Start to finish. No shortcuts, but plenty of options so people could build the way they wanted within their budget.

My father and brother came on board early. We worked side by side learning what actually matters: knowing where water lines need to go so they're never in the way later. Understanding why retaining walls need to sit right. Seeing the land before we touch it. These weren't things we read in a manual. They came from years of getting it wrong, then getting it right, then teaching each other what we learned. My mother and another brother are joining us now, and that feels right. This is a family operation, and it always has been.

What Twenty Years Taught Us

We've learned that doing it right takes time. Not because we move slow, but because we plan first. We've seen too many projects fail because someone cut corners on the foundation work. Water lines go under the driveway? That's a problem in year three. Retaining walls installed wrong? That becomes someone's disaster. We know these things because we've fixed them.

We've learned that knowing what it takes to build a house—really build one—changes everything. It's not just moving dirt. It's understanding drainage, soil composition, how the land sits. When a client is thinking about grading or foundation prep, we can walk the property and tell them exactly what will happen in five years if we do it one way versus another. That knowledge comes from two decades of seeing how decisions play out over time.
